Just spoke to Patty, the government is working like crazy. San Pedrito was the first focus. They are busting their butts. She says its not true that only her people are getting help. Hope to get a full report on San Pedrito soon.

Hi Celeste: I gather your back ta San Pedro. Your post is not really very surprizing. There are some "rumors" that San Pedrito is WORST OFF than what is being reported, or more properly NOT REPORTED. I'm just sick for some closure about my friend Garcia, Ercillia, all those families back behind the airstrip on Doctor Elmers old property. Rumor has it that the Wood Six Plex is "gone". I'm wondering about the 4 families there. Need some hep, here. Glad to hear that Miss Elaine and Carter are fine. I was conserned bout dat whole crew at da Hideway. I wonder if my swimming googles are still stashed behind the bush next to the pool. Oh!, never mind, that's a SECRET. Tell Timm that his fan club is happy to hear he and his are OK. Keep on it Marty. All of us who donated on here expected and still do expect our money to help those who cannot help themselves...monetarily that is. Sometimes things take a little time to work out. I am sure this will be distributed evenly and to those who need it the most. Let's just not fight amongst ourselves about it. Let's get to the bottom of it.

Marty: I didn't infer that you remove posts about poor people ,only about controversy(sometimes).

No one is paranoid BelizeMama, to care about the poor and NO ONE IS SPOUTING OFF (hmmm,funny you would see it that way).
We are voicing love,care and concern for ALL of the people of Belize and its islands(back and front,etc.) and Marty's letter above does say this:

People expressed concern for that and you said Marty didnt say it and you told people to go back and reread it ....I for one,DID!

This post and the opinions expressed here are not nasty unless someone wants to suggest that yours might be. We care and are concerned and if we shouldn't be then PLEASE let us know and we can ALL go away.

Maggie, you quoted a part of what was posted but left this part out :: "the first 5000 we got to the island was in materials purchased and brought down by Jeff Gram. they were all given out to the poorest folks in minutes."

That is all I was pointing out. And again, I don't think food being distibuted to "rich and poor alike" is wrong. Do you think the rich(or in our case middle income) should not eat just because they are better off then others?? Everyone was hungry. Even rich cannot pull food out of the air by magic can they?
I was not trying to cause a fight...just point out that Marty said the poor were the first ones helped. And HOPEFULLY will continue to be the main ones helped.
