The frozen meals there are not like the Stouffers frozen meals here in the U.S. I would think a small suitcase packed with stouffers would travel well and would be convenent for snacks in the evening especially for the young ones. Just an idea.

The Island Supermarket now has a frozen food section that included Lean Cuisine. I don't know about Stouffers. My queation is, why go to a forein country to eat american food. Give me meat pies and fry jacks for breakfast anytime.
To answer the question about butter, New Zealand is a big dairy producing country and I imagine that butter is cheaper there than in the U.S.

Hold off on the frozen meals, I'm meeting with Libby Storey today (of Mango's and Hammock House fame) and she will be supplying me with a variety of top notch, home made frozen foods. You should see them on the order form by the end of the week.

What is my best option for buying food ? I'm at Belizean Shores and looked into lagniappe but they have a 200.00 minimum and I don't need that much.

There's a new store at Captain Morgan's just a bit down the beach.

Our margins are pretty tight hence the need for a $200 minimum on North end properties and $100 on South end.

Alright, alright. Good advice. I wonder if other countries have such a website!! You all are wonderful!! With reference to someone's question, "Why go to a foreign country to eat american food?" My intent is not to indulge in Americana food ... hence the reason I am traveling to Belize. But because we are staying at a home and the tastes aren't as exotic as my own, I want to at least have a box of cereal and perhaps some chips/cookies/poptarts ~LOL~. But the idea is to truly immmerse ourselves in the culture. I'll tell ya'll all about it when I return. Thanks much again

definitely take advantage of simon's services...we stayed at captain morgan's (the store opened while we were there) and it was great to arrive to a stocked frig. The store at cm's has a full selection of beverages as well as many canned items suitable for a quick lunch at home. For meats and fish or conch, simon is great! definitely worth the delivery fee. you can hit the grocery stores in town to fill out your menus.

There is no need to bring coffee with you. We own Caye Coffee and we supply Ambergris Caye and other parts of Belize with the only "Fresh Roasted Coffee" in the country. Check out the home page of this web-site - we're in the "what's new" section. Or check us out at www.cayecoffee.bz .
