FloridaBeachBum - I don't know, I was more afraid that if it was just the two of us there would be a problem, but they said even if it was just us we would go. They were very quick to respond to my e-mails, so my guess is that you will hear back soon. You will have to let me know if you get on the same trip!

Ooops, the last post was to LBI Jersey Boy, maybe we will see you. As far as what is included on the trip, that is a big deal to us. I have my printed e-mail on what was included, when I go to pay the rest of the trip next Monday we will be sure to show them and tell them what we expect, otherwise they are going to get some bad publicity. Thanks for the heads up, cause if they don't include it, I will want a reduced rate, and we will bring a cooler. But one little snag will not make our return trip any less enjoyable, six more sleeps!

Tanisha is one of the island's top operations. No one has ever, to my recollection, posted anything negative. Daniel Nunez is tops, a real class act.
All the operators provide beverages on the return boat trip home, but since you are flying (?) and the flight is so short, I can easily see why this might not be offered.
It will all be fine.

Yes klcman,Daniel from Tanisha is one of the most knowledgable man i've been with. He is awesome!! As for the drinks i think that when you go personally with him thats when you get rum punch and beer. Hey you're gonna make rum punch and beer be the cause not to have a goood time in AC?

The big deal is I don't appreciate being told one thing and then finding out after my deposit is made that something is now not included, I value honesty and hate deception. I have since gotten said e-mail from Tanisha correcting the trip description, which I appreciate. Sounds like we can bring a cooler along and I think you can purchase beverages at Jaguar Paw if you wish. I personally don't drink soda, and I don't plan on drinking water all day, so that leaves beer and rum punch! What is a big deal to some, may not be to others, to each his own. Regardless, we a really looking forward to the adventure, no worries

When we took the Lamanai trip with Daniel he provided water, sodas, and I think Gator Aid all day. He even had his mate and son lugging a cooler around behind us as we walked around the ruins. He made sure we stayed hydrated, he's smart like that. He also supplied breakfast, lunch and snacks. All good!
On the long trip home he broke out the beer and rum punch, all you wanted. He told me that no way was he going to deal with a boat load of drunks all day. This way by the time they had a buzz he was dropping them off.
Having run a charter fishing boat for 10 years I can appreciate his position. I got the distinct impression (and I might be wrong) that he didn't want you drinking alcohol before hiking and climbing around the ruins, no matter if he supplied it or you did.

PS: I'm glad I stayed sober to take advantage of everything Daniel taught me. He is a wealth of information and he is passionate about nature and history. I'd really like to spend some more time with him.

A few drinks does not constitute drunk or memory loss. If I enjoy a few cocktails during the day while on vacation that is my business and was not the point of this thread at all. High and mighty people are so irritating, lighten up. As for the Tanisha cave tubing/zip line trip (which by the way we are still really looking forward too), it is really done by Jaguar Paw, which, per the e-mail I got from Tanisha, is the reason why beer and rum punch are not included. So, it doesn't sound like we will get to meet or be enlightened by this Daniel I have read so much about, maybe next time! Enjoy and relax, that's what it's all about anyway.
