I think that for next year's Lobsterfest I'll rent out the Jumbotron and quote Leviticus 11:10

And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you

Eat lobster, burn in hell.

Personally I like Lev 25:44 the best. I fully agree that, as long as they are from neighboring countries, we should all be able to own slaves. I will be sure to take this up w/ the Labor Dept here after the holidays. What with God's word being eternal and unchanging, I don't imagine there will be any point of contention.

Ernie, I do not believe that history proves you wrong. Maybe in the rewrite of history by certain groups who see man as the center of all things. In modern times with the exception of Islamic jihads there hasn't been large scale evil perpetrated by religion.

On the other hand Stalin and Hitler who where both non religious and as a matter of fact anti-religious where evil and caused much harm to mankind.

"Second, the most notable acts of evil done in the name of Christianity occurred centuries ago, not in modern times. Sadly, we cannot say the same of all religions. Groups such as Al Qadea, Hamas, and Hezbollah are actively killing in the name of Islamic religion today. Hindu groups such as Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad result to violence as well.

Third, what about all the violence done in the name of secularism? If religion has to apologize for all the violence done in its name, so should atheism. Religion is not the only cause of evil in the world. In fact, more people have been killed by atheist regimes in the twentieth century than in all the religious persecutions of Western history. Mao was responsible for over forty million deaths, Stalin for more than twenty million, and Hitler's count is over ten million.

And those are just the big three atheists-we haven't even mentioned other tyrants like Pol Pot, Enver Hoxha, Nicolae Ceausescu, Fidel Castro, and Kim Jong-il. In a single century, atheists have killed more than one-hundred million people. On the other hand, the Crusades, the Inquisition, and the witch burnings together killed about 200,000 people. It is not violence done in the name of religion that has caused the most evil in the world, but violence done in the name of atheism"

Secularists are the current danger (Evil) and of course we have plenty of them in the USA and other parts of the world. And of course they believe they are smarter and the ends justify their means.

Ok, now I'm confused. The fisherman were just here (thanks for coming so late at night guys) and I just bought 65 lbs of lobster. Is eating it an abomination or not? Most of my cookbooks seem pretty secular (evil?) in nature? Are they leading me down the wrong path? On the other hand, I just paid $20 BZE a pound for this stuff as it's getting scarce. If I'm going to burn in hell, I might as well recoup a bit of my $ in the meantime??? Plus, when poached in a habanero beurre monte lobster is just so sinfully delicious. Do I trust the modern secularist cookbooks or look at this from a more historical perspective??? And someone in the kitchen just now called out that "I made lobster dip!!!"

You guys are right, this religion stuff sure is complicated.
