The funeral for our friend Captain Freddie Waight will be held on Saturday, February 22nd at the Roman Catholic Church in San Pedro at 10am.

He was predeceased by his parents: Anselm Waight Sr. and Luz Cambranes Waight. He is survived by his wife Marsha Waight, daughter Karen Waight Canul, Son-in-Law Roberto Canul, grandchildren Axel and Catherine Canul. Brothers: Anthony, Anselm, and Eric Waight. Sisters: Rosalee, Sylvia and Abigail Waight, Nena Sharma, Alba Luz Nichols, Dorothy Waight Peyrefitte and Aura Woods. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends including the TMM Yacht Charters family.

I first met Freddy in 2004 on Tabacco Caye where we entered into a debate within minutes virtually clearing the bar. Since that time I have gathered many treasured memories and stories including some of my favorite one liners of all time. We loved you Freddy. Sending love to Marsha, Freddy's daughter whom he was immensely proud of, his team at TMM who I know miss him dearly, and all those whose hearts and minds he touched. "You look like meat and potatoes girl" was one of the last things he told me in response to me putting on a few pounds. I'll take that as a compliment my friend. Miss you already.
