Moon,

My husband and I stayed there last May. We were looking for some much needed R&R, and wanted a place that looked a bit more private and not real close to town. This was PERFECT for us. The pool is even nicer then the pictures. I didn't swim from the beach, but did swim around a bit at the end of the pier. You won't want to go out much from the pier, as boats come and go from town. The suite we stayed in was the first one on the left, closet to the ocean. It is "right on the beach" - enjoyed our morning coffee on the balcony as we watched a new day begin.

We did walk to town once, it was a longggggg (Longgggg!) stroll, and opted to take the water taxi back. We also rented a golf cart to go back and forth or you could rent bikes in town.

The only restaurant that we ate at near by (other then the Laguna Grill that is there on the property) was Sweet Basil and also had Pauly's (think that it's name) pizza delivered one night. The other nights we ate in town, and again, used the water taxi. Had a nice meal at Sweet Basil, GREAT dessert. Thought that I read where it's for sale, not sure.

The suite was wonderful, not a complaint from us at all. The restaurant at the resort was so-so, but it could have been an off night. The drinks were good, the staff was more then pleasant and it has a nice view. Also, there is a computer at the back of the dining room if you need to check with folks back home. Can't recall how much it cost.

Think that about covers it. Your biggest decision is how close you want to be to town, and that depends if you're "night people" and want to try out the bars.

There is also a coin operated washer and dryer on site - came in handy.

You'll fall in love with AC no matter where you stay. laugh
