Continental will be starting direct service to Roatan from Houston in June as well. Taca has some direct flights from Houston or Miami I believe. You can also fly American, Continental or Taca to San Pedro Sula and then take one of the small airlines (like Islena) from there to Roatan (with a short stop in La Cieba for refueling and pick up/ drop off passengers). My Islena flight from SAP to RTB was $125 round trip and you can book your flight online.

I used my Delta miles to fly on Continental now they have that code share agreement. I believe you can also use Northwest miles on Continental as well.

Only a couple of folks in our group dived, the rest of us are surface dwellers and had no problem finding stuff to do. Luna has a really nice pool deck area to hang out on, with the bar/restaurant right there. Or some times we took our floats and floated right off the dock. Both the houses most of us rented, and the beach cabanas all have hammocks if you just want to relax with a book for a bit as well.

You can also take a water taxi over to West Bay beach which is beautiful and swim or snorkel right there as well. ITs a short walk down the beach into West End where there are a lot of beach bars and restaurants. You can also do an island tour, go see the Dolphins at Anthony's Key Resort, the Iguana farm and more... stuff we actually didn't get around to doing but plan to next time we go back.

We did a canopy tour which was a ton of fun. For $3 a person we got a taxi from West End to the top of the mountain over West Bay where you start the canopy tour. THe canopy tour is $35 and you travel down 11 zip lines through the jungle ending up down by the beach. Then we just walked along the beach to happy hour at Los Rocas bar, which is next to the fantastic Bite on the Beach restaurant, and took a water taxi back to Luna from there.

Food and drink costs were quite cheap. Beers were usually in the $1 to $1.50 range depending on where you went. The lobster was plentiful even during May. Lots of great meals and there was enough nightlife to keep our party crew happy!

Hope this helps!
