Sun&Sand, I certainly understand your comments and if that was your childhood, you are fortunate indeed. That wasn't the case for most people (including me) no matter what the era. Personally, I always wanted to be June Cleaver.
I think Ben Tripp is correct, deluding outselves into thinking there were good ol' days can be really dangerous and we run the risk of becoming complacent.
