I was just referring to my recent experience, where all vets incl. the USDA vet service office strongly adviced against it.
Also, I traveled with my dogs on AA two weeks ago, and I had to sign a statement that the dogs were not sedated, or they wouldn't take them. It is also stated at their website, but not sure if this is just for dogs that cannot go in the passenger cabin.
Anyway, I found it very stressful to travel with animals with AA, and I think that Continental has done a much better job for me before.
