phil i am not sure if you actually require an answer from me or if you are entertaining yourself with your spiel. no matter, i believe almost everything is negotiable. not everything, but certainly almost everything.

as to what my post had relevance to, jane's deleted post indicated that while martin's home was indeed nice, the OP stated they wanted to spend 'about $3500' for a week on lodging rental, and jane further opined that martin's website reflected a much higher rate for the rental. The OP has offered the fact that he can negotiate a deal at a higher rate than previously indicated if the property is the right one. martin may also choose to negotiate downward or higher if he so wishes. it is not rocket science, just a potential meeting of the minds of people contracting for a mutually beneficial outcome.
