Belize is a Christian country - not just by nature, but by declaration.
Given that very clearly defined aspect of the country's structure, I think it behoves us to respect, accept and expect certain manifestations of the church countrywide (even if you're like me who strongly prefers the idea of separation of church and state).

I think people will eat dinner tonight. Could there be some way to turn this into a positive kind of thing in future --- maybe we think about that a little ?
Can hotels gift "good friday wine" bottle to each room - given to the guests on Thursday with a note about the rules on Friday? You know, advertise your Easter specials with this offer and a notice about the rules for the day?
