Medical Evacuation insurance (Medjet Assist) and a very high deductible major medical is what I would do.
Hang on Capt - maybe I'm missing your Point here. Initially did you say the best way to go was have a high deductible that includes MediVac. ?
San Pedro to Miami - 1 nurse and 1 other tech with no altitude restriction $8-$12K. Sucking chest wound or Intensive care $15 to $20K. Also, fuel prices have a big impact and the kind of equipment used (Lear, Pressurized King Air).
If back to New York/Chicago/Minneapolis add another $5 to $8K.
Someone that is really, really sick that requires basically an intensive care environment increase by another 20% or so.
