Wow Elly - Bakersfield huh?? Our very good friends (who we have done a lot of traveling with) live in Bear Valley - near Tehachapi. He's a firefighter with Kern County and sometimes is stationed in Bakersfield. I think they are wishing they were coming with us on this trip. I have a feeling we will be planning a trip to Belize with them in the near future. And I'm sure you'll be able to withstand the heat down there. It might even be a bit cooler than home.
