I live one mile from the bridge and my garbage is picked up at least once a week and sometimes twice.

I have a proposal for the town council:
Let the Tres Cocos area be a trial for sorting out recyclables. Many of those living here came from area where we sorted our garbage for a number of years. In northern California we had one can for wet garbage and one box for each paper-cardboard, metal and plastic.

We could at least start with two: wet garbage and other. When I think of hiring people to wade through and pick recycle stuff out of wet stinky garbage I want to puke
