I am not really a person who responds to gossip, but in the 10+ years I have been here I have never had anyone post anything even remotely negative about me, something I said, or in this case, something I did NOT say on this site.
"They" never claimed anything about the beach. SnowWhite5080, you are misquoting me on a public forum, we did NOT even discuss the beach which is what I informed Mayor Danny of when I spoke with him earlier.
As you mentioned that you and your HOA plan to have a registered guests only policy in place for your pool at Barrier Reef Resort, it surprises me that you cannot respect that other resorts may have the same policy in place. Whether the policy is put in place at the time a resort opens, at the time a resort is renamed as is the case with the property you represent, or whether the policy is put in place somewhere along the evolution of a property is irrelevant.
I do understand that policies may not be agreeable to everyone. Never the less, policies, and those whose profession requires them to uphold and/or communicate said policies, deserve to be respected.
Businesses should not be subjected to negative/false comments in public forums by non-guests simply because they have rules in place which the majority of their counterparts also operate with. The needs and wishes of paying guests/owners must always come before the general public when it comes to the use of private facilities.
