Sorry for reviving this old thread, but I have a question related to that topic.
Can we get a student visa (not a renewal) in the San Pedro immigration office?
We are a French family, we would like to come for 2 months in 2019 as tourists, and we would like our 11-year-old daughter to study in one of the elementary schools in San Pedro.
The consulate we depend on, which is in London, told us they themselves didn't issue student visas and that we had to ask for it once we were in Belize. I was surprised because from other sources I found on the Internet, other people like Americans, for instance, can get a student visa in the US before arriving in Belize.
Anyway, if we have to wait to be there, can we get it in San Pedro or do we have to travel to Belmopan or Belize City to get it?
