i do not know from experience, but lore, that the "dating scene" in AC can be less than optimal. many couples i knew of had one married person in the relationship.

and, last, it is a small town. everyone knows everyone and they will all talk about you. how do i know this? i've only been there 3 times and i know LOTS of island gossip, both true & not. talk to a local and they'll tell you stuff.
