You're staying at a nice place that has nice areas to do the relaxing you want to do.My wife & I stopped there while walking the beach to have a drink. We may consider staying there on our next trip.Seeing as how you will be there 9 days I would suggest a full day snorkle trip that includes a stop at Caye Caulker.Have lunch at Rasta Pasta on the beach,the food,staff & location are real nice.

Rent a golf cart,a gas one,and explore the island.I would suggest head south in the A.M.
then up north across the cut on the hand ferry.Stop at Sweet Basil's for lunch,it may be a bit pricey,but well worth it.Then go further north to look around at some of the resorts up there.The road gets a bit rough at times,but is navigable as long as it's not the rainy season.

Ramons is close to town,only a maybe ten minute walk,so take advantage of that & enjoy the wonderful atmosphere & in my opinion some of the freshest,finest prepared,& tasty seafood I have ever had,& I live in Boston,a mecca for seafood!! In town is where you will experience the people of San Pedro & the culture.I have been to many Islands & some I would never return to because the people were nasty & only had there hands out all day for money. I really felt welcome in San Pedro & all over AC & it was genuine.The locals love to talk about where they live & go out of there way to make you feel comfortable.Walking around town is fun & at least one mornig go to Estels on the beach for breakfast,it's great.It,s approx. half way in town. I,m rambling sorry,
