We were gonna go during our visit last August but, our neighbors at Ramons' went one day and came back exhausted and their legs literally covered with mosquito bites. As an alternative the ruins at Altun Ha (Willie is an extremely knowledgable guide) are impressive in their own right and the break you get from the heat at Maruba is fabulous. The resort is beautiful with hibiscous flowers used to decorate literally everything (food, drinks, chairs, the pedicure soak water). Great service, cocktails and food. We really enjoyed our time there. Just depends how much time you want to spend in the hot sun that day. Have a wonderful time no matter what you choose to do!! mobunny cool
