Bring 4-6 pound spinning gear, lots of extra hooks and sinkers for the local kids...I use any shrimp imitation and sardines....enjoy

I just spent 2 months there, from all the fishing stuff i brought down here is what i used.

#8, #4 hooks
200 yards of 4lb test
sinkers
Wire Leaders

I had an old reel that worked great and i didn't care about the salt water and sand damaging it. I also bought a $12 telescopic rod that was worth it's weight in gold.

Used sardines and shrimps from any grocery store to catch fish.
