That's Ramons, and word is beach. Before anyone mentions spelling!

Laazzyy--
After reading your posts and the repsonses to those posts, I am confident that AC is the perfect placefor me and my husband. I love the loud, and busy crouds of some of the other tourist destinations but my husband will avoid them at all costs. AC seems like the perfect place to become "lovers" agian with my husband. We have three children 2,5,14 yrs old, I work in the medical field full time and go to school at night. The last thing I need is more stress of trying to look good and/or trying to keep up with any one else as you most likely would do at the typical vacation destinations. Most of the vacations I have had include the kids and I have had to come home in order to recoup. I am 31yrs old and far from being "dead" but, it is nice sometimes to go to a place that doesnt have the crazy hussle and bussle that most vacations spots have. I will go to AC despite your advice aginst it, I love to dive but am not certified. I will go swimming no matter if it is off a pier or in a swimming pool.
Maybe swimming naked would be more up your alley. I would not be opposed to that either. As long as I am having a good time!! laugh

No offense to Laazzyy but I don't agree with the opinion that AC is only for divers. It is a great place for divers, but there are enough things to do for nondivers to be a great vacation destination. We truly came home last year feeling like we'd been on a vacation because we just couldn't help but kick back, take life slow, and relax. We met a lot of people that had vacationed a lot of tropical places and Belize was now there new favorite place.
Belizean shores is just up the beach from CM's and that's where Laguna Grill is. Journey's end is a little further up and has a nice lunch menu.
There's also a really good pizza place up the beach next to Capt Morgan's.
Just in case you were pondering getting scuba certified, Captain Morgan's likes to refer divers to Patojo's Scuba Center. I really liked them.
Don't worry about your choice to visit Belize.
If you're wanting a quiet, enjoyable yet tropical vacation, you're going to the right place.

I love to swim and did find locating a swim area that did not have turtle grass a challenge. Next time I come, I will have some swim shoes so I can walk past the stuff and swim ... I swam most days near the cut north of SP and of course when I went snorkeling in the parks ... you will love it.

Captain Morgan's is quite a ways from San Pedro. I rode a bike to it one day ... talk about a good little workout! I realized that I was glad to be staying near town ... I'm an urbanite. Cpt. Morgan's is far away from the hustle and bustle ... and has just opened a "store" for the visitors.
