When leaving Belize where can you exchange Belizian dollars for US dollars on a Saturday?

Depends how much BZ you have left, but you can always spend it at the airport for lunch and things, also your departure tax.

No need to change your US money to Belizean as US dollars are preferred and spend just as well. The exchange rate is fixed at two dollars Belize equal 1 US. Usually you'll get Belizean change. Don't worry, you can spend what Belizean change you have left at the airport buying rum, souvenirs, etc. Also most places post their prices and note if they are US or Belizean. If in question, ask

The Bank of Belize has a office at the airport.
There is a limit on the amount of money that you can exchange and a small fee for the conversion.
You must show your ticket and passport and sign some paperwork. The limit that you can exchange back into USD is 800BZD.
The airport use to have some charitable boxes in the departure lounge for donations, I failed to look for them on my last exit but can't imagine that they have been removed.

Last May, the bank across from the post office was open till noon on Saturdays. Didn't have to worry about it 'cause we spent it all on the island....enjoy!
