In the low season it's not the tourists that keep you in business it's the locals. Along with many businesses, they're in a crunch for funds and they've worked hard through the high season.

Therefore the locals are given a break as they'll make up the volume and they deserve some time to celebrate surviving yet another high season.

what's the cost during high season?

sounds like gauging the tourist.

As an avid tourist, I have no problems with locals getting a break. It's only gouging if you are the only game in town or mislead someone. If the price is too high -- don't do it. Supply and demand will take care of the rest. And after all, happy locals mean happy service when I arrive -- I'm all for that.

I will have a Belikin -- put it on klcman's tab.

It's not high season right now so what's the point. Such offers don't come along in high season, everyone pays the same price because the tourists fill the slots. Right now I seriously doubt you would have enough tourists to make the trip anything but a loss.

I'm betting that the average weekly wage for a local worker is probably less than what you make in a day, or maybe even an hour depending on your profession.
