Simon well, put and good for you .. whats the big deal ,whats the price you pay for living the dream ??.. And who cares ??if you think the person who is running the boat trip price is too high ,pass on it take the water taxi. and if he wants local, friends to go free, good for him it is his boat.. this is a silly discussion on a once a year boat trip. After all, we are in paradise.and it is his investment and his boat..

Surely tourists aren't paying double, it's locals who are paying half. Ultimately it's up to Rodney, but the tourist price doesn't seem outrageous.

Can we define "locals", are they native Belizeans, expats living there, people who own property that do not live there full time ? Just curious. I know when I lived there full time, we got special pricing at rests, bars, etc, etc. If I was there, I'd take the trip. The Lady Sharon is a big, fun boat and Capt Rodney a great host.

quitchurbitchin! I'm willing to bet that nearly every one of you spend more than $30 a week on booze and/or smokes......and that when you're on that next plane to BZE, the person sitting in front of you, behind you, and maybe even next to you paid a different price for their seat. Hve you bitched to the airlineyet?

What's the big deal? Me thinks if a local biz wants to help out the locals, then that's certainly within his/her perogative and ot be commended.

Don't like it?Tough....Swim! (and take a pill) wink

There are "locals", which is anyone who lives here and there are "local locals" who are Belizeans and are the ones that keep this island running. Maybe there should be a "local locals" price that's half what "locals" pay, just a thought.

That's a good idea.
