I am taking a trip to Belize in january and am thinking about staying at the Caribbean Villas. i was wondering if anyone had any info about this place, if the rooms are nice and clean, if the place is really crowded, is the a dock where dive shops will pick us up at. any info at all would be great.
Also, i am going to be diving with a novice diver and want to know which dive shop would be the best for 2 pretty new divers. i have heard good things about Protech and Amigos del mar dive shops, which would be a better fit for us?

Nice place, great beach, the dives shops will pick you up at the dock (enjoy the hammock). Never seen it crowded.

simonb and jazz, thats very much for the info. im excited about going on this trip, it should be alot of fun. i am also hoping to get a lot of diving in during the time i am there. i just got certified a month ago or so and a friend of mine is getting his cert now. i just hope we can find a dive shop who dont mind putting up with 2 novice divers for the week

None of the shops will mind that you are novice divers. Don't worry about that. Just remember your training and enjoy your dives.
