Well San Pedro got it's fair share of air time on one of the ABC TV Boston affiliates tonight, on a channel that is seen by many states.

There was a half hour programme, Chronicle, that just aired from 7:30pm - 8pm and was all about Belize - from San Pedro and the reef to the mainland and the rain forest, the Mayan ruins, the jungle and the waterfalls and rivers, so now a few more people will know where Belize is!!

I think if you Google "WCVB TV" and then search for the programme Chronicle, with today's date, you'll find info on the guides who took the reporter on each of the trips she took while she was there.

It was great to see "downtown" San Pedro with all the golf carts - we called all around to tell friends and family to tune in this evening and even managed to get the programme recorded so we can see what we saw underwater and above! I knew there was a good reason we left the video camera behind!

Cheers!

Well I certainly hadn't thought of SELLING tapes KLC!!! But I have had one inquiry, I suppose thanks to your post!

I was just thrilled to be able to see the underwater video and say "I SWAM WITH THOSE RAYS AND SHARKS" and that yes, the golf carts in San Pedro and parking them was as it was shown on TV. As far as the mainland's concerned, this was our first visit and we didn't have time to see the mainland, so it was an interesting programme just to see how lovely and green the mainland is. I'd hoped they'd go to Placencia as it seems like lots of people split their holiday between San Pedro and Placencia, but they had a couple of other places, was it San Antonio (sounds like Texas!), and another town that I can't remember off the top of my head.

But hey, now you've suggested how to finance our trip back, maybe I DO want to do what you suggested!!

Hope you're enjoying shovelling KLC, just keep that shovel out until Memorial Day.....!

Cheers!
