Peter Peter Confrontation Eater is loving his mental menu that you are all feasting on!

Pete, why not just have a Tough Poster contest at the Inn? Cock fighting meets the battle of nitwits!

Keep stirring the kettle Pedro, it's just warming up! Give me a minute though, my drink is empty.

obtuseangler,

"That nice captjeff is really just a predatory gringo businessman."

Obtuse, you just lost a lot of credibility, There are far too many people who know otherwise. You might as well quit while you're only this far behind.

Why not talk about fishing?

Just because captjeff touted a particular fishing guide in over 100 postings since he discovered Belize in '03 does not necessarily suggest anything untoward. He just liked the guy. Lighten up!

Dear obtuse:
Far be it for me to jump head first into a discussion. If I may be so informal by calling you obtuse... I really didn't bother getting bothered by you until you jumped on the good Capt.

I tried to remember what 'obtuse' actually meant... therefore I just had to go to the New Websters Dictionary:

SYLLABICATION: obtuse

PRONUNCIATION: ob-toos
ADJECTIVE: Inflected forms: obtuser, obtusest
1a. Lacking quickness. Lacking quickness of perception or intellect. b. Characterized by a lack of intelligence or sensitivity: an obtuse remark. c. Not distinctly felt: an obtuse pain. 2a. Not sharp, pointed, or acute in form; blunt. b. Having an obtuse angle: an obtuse triangle.

Now that I have been educated... your name spells it completely out now. Thanks.

Too funny, and so true, Denny. Although I don't know Captjeff personally, I trust the others here, and I get such good vibes about him, I trust him, too.
As for Obtuse, I don't want to say it's because he's from NY, but I don't think I've EVER had a gentle discussion with anyone who has come from there. Very dogmatic in their opinions, and theirs is the only one that matters. Recently had a salesman from NY call me a Bit*h over the phone because I wouldn't order a battery with a camera I had ordered...so he cancelled my whole order. Go figure..Anyhow, the gentle ways of the island may touch Obtuse with enough force that he mellows. Until then, I'll take him with a grain of salt...and a lime...and some tequila..helps soften his personality in the mean time.

obtuse, if you are going to attack a board member, especially one as well liked and respected as Capt. Jeff, you really should get your 'facts' straight. Capt. Jeff never had any monetary interest in Bicho. He liked fishing with him, knew he had a large family and wanted to help him. So he did help him get set up with his fishing business and fished with him every chance he got. Some friendships don't last forever and when they parted ways Capt. Jeff NEVER came on this board and said anything negative about Bicho. If he chooses to fish with a variety of other guides now, what is it to you? Pedro is not the only poster on this board who likes to stir the pot, are you and bearfoot buddies or do ya'll have an AGENDA of your own????? Okay, I'll get off my podium now and go see how deep the mud is on front street now.
