Greetings, All.

We'll be on AC on Good Friday and our hotel rep said that restaurants will probably be closed since most residents are Christian. I already did a search, but didn't get clear indication.

Does anyone know which ones are open that day?

Many thanks!

The bars are closed until 6 PM as by law no alcohol can be sold until then. Food is generally available as usual.

Generally, dive shops and tour companies do not operate on Good Friday, and if I remember correctly, the water taxi does not run either.

Hmmm, Silkpainter, of Caribbean Colors Gallery in CC, said (in "Other Parts of Belize" site) that:

"The water taxi will run the regular schedule. Many restaurants are closed on Good Friday and through Easter Monday holiday. I believe the Sandbox, Rainbow Grill, Tropical Paradise, and Barrier Reef Sports Grill [are open]."

Soooo, I guess we'll just play it by ear for that day since things can always change. BTW, Maralyn told me that her Rasta Pasta in Caye Caulker will be open, so we were thinking of taking the water taxi over to snorkel since it will be kinda quiet all around. ...we'll see. :p

Hmmm, well I know that for sure that Captain Morgan's Retreat will be open on good friday as they are preparing a seafood special for that evening.
