I could understand his attitude if he was someone BIG & REALLY FAMOUS, like Jimmy Buffet. But I never even heard of him until I heard is cd "Cowboy boots & Bathing suits" while visiting in Belize. When I speak of JJW, people ask "WHO?" If it wasn't for his fans, Belize residents & wanabees Belize residents, where would he be? He's just another Jimmy Buffet wanabee.

I've been to no less than 20 Buffett concerts, and each and every one he makes an effort to include his fans. He is the best when it comes to gratitude to his fans. Even if he makes a bazillion dollars, he still remembers his fans. You are right, ArtZ...jjw is a wannabee. Too bad he's really a neverwillbeee.
Oh well, he gives me a smile when I play his Belize CD, and for that I'm grateful. It helps me be there, even tho I'm not.

When JJW is on the island does he play a variety of music or songs from Cowboy Boots and Bathing Suits? When we asked him to play from that CD he said NO, he could have been more polite.
A teenager was standing there to get an autograph, he said no I have to get on stage now.
They were running 30 mins. ahead of schedule.

JJW has all rights to do whatever he chooses, just as his fans have all rights not to attend his shows or purchase his cd's.
He is a talented musician and may have had his fill of the "road". Perhaps he should cut-back on shows, if he can afford to.

Unfortunately if in a post like that you take the part of the side of "rights of everyone" then (how did you call it, streetchie), then you must be a fan of who-ever. Don't worry, I don't even know his music, what style or if he's good or bad.

SIN, You are 100% correct. He has the right to do as he pleases, however, he is a public figure and that changes things. The 'Fans' will make him or break him, as they are the final (financial) judge.

I would agree that Jerry Jeff Walker isn't a great singer. However, he's been recording since long before he started being a Buffett wannabee. I have vinyl of his from when I was in college almost 35 years ago.
I'm not saying he isn't a butthead, sounds like he is, but he has written some good songs.
