Dear Pedro, have to disagree with you,,, I live right in the front yard of Palapa, as a matter of fact, the apts I live in are the Palapa's. No, there is no difference in price for locals or gringo's (gringa's)...you just didn't pay the price for your first round and the bartender had to pay out of her tips, therefore, there was extra added on on the next round. Also, their french fries are the best on the island!!!@! They double fry them so they are extra crispy. Love their nachos!!!@!! It's bar food not a 5-star restaurant. Anyway, I am a bartender not even 3/4 mile away and have been a patron there for many a year...love them and the atmosphere.
