Ahhh... Very sorry to hear this. My wife and I had a fairly long conversation with him while sitting at the bar in the Pier Lounge one afternoon last November. He could tell some stories and for the most part they seemed very believable. There is no doubt he had a good heart.

We also met Smokey our first visit to San Pedro. He helped us find someone serving lobster on Feb 14th. He rode on the back of the golf cart between the wives as we drove through town and told them how he only had "spiritual sex" anymore. He always reconized us after that and always talked. He will be missed.

There is a wonderful close up photo of Smokey in this weeks San Pedro Sun. You can get to it easily through Marty's "Latest Issue of San Pedro Sun is out" posting. If each of us only knew the ways we have blessed others. Thanks for sharing everyone.

Smoky, rest in peace.

He had a lot of stories and views of the world to share. And sure enough, it happend a lot of times that Smoky was right on the money with his view of how the the world turns....! It's all about the triangle Smoky! =)
Will never forget him.

Both the Ambergris Today and the San Pedro Sun published nice articles about the life and times of Smokey. My minds eye can see many of my friends on board the boat on the reef...orange peels on their heads, weeping for our old friend.

Gone fishing!!
