Royal Caribbean Resort now has another meaning! I was under the misguided info that it was for cruise ship gambling!!! L & T, can we hang out on your front porch?

I've heard that when vultures fly, all they take is carry on.

Thanks so much for all the feedback, so far they are allowing carr on luggage but no liquids, gels, etc. so you will be spared our nudity (not that there is anytthing wrong with that.
We were more worried about the cost of booze but I'll start saving now! Almost feel like I know some of you from reading the board for the last month or so..good luck on your trip Lovey and Thurston. I know we will love Belize.

benja - wouldn't worry about the cost of booze in San Pedro - between $2 and $2.50 US for a bottle of beer in most bars - we pay $4 - $6 here ... have to re-mortgage the house every few years to keep me in hooch, eh?

benja - would be best to buy everything here. we recently moved here and found that when we receive packages from our family/friends, the packages are inspected and duties are levied based on the value of the contents of those packages. for example, toiletries duties are 20% so by the time you add the postage and duties/taxes (GST and environmental), you've actually exceeded the costs that the same items are being sold here.

liquor is quite a bit more expensive if you purchase it by the bottle but the bars/restaurants all have great prices. and, just like in the States, get to know the bartenders and tip them well and your drinks get stiffer and stiffer! wink

It's settled then, you will find us at the nearest bar to which we can stagger! October can't come soon enough. We are looking forward to sampling Belikin...over and over again!
