So the wife and I are going to try making it back to Ambergris Caye in April. We will be staying with friends for holy week in Antigua and thought we would bring our 5 year old to see the beautiful town of SP towards the end of our trip.

What would be the quickest/cheapest way to get there?

Cheapest and quickest, these don't usually go together as a pair.

Cheapest swim West, kidding, quickest = through Miami (if the island of Antigua). If Antigua Guatemala, then the bus is the cheapest and TACA from G.C. is quickest.

Sometimes it's like pulling teeth around here to get a normal straight answer.

So we'll probably do Taca from G.C. to BZE. Since we're gonna have luggage and a 5 year old with us.

My advice would be
Guatamala city to Flores by plane change to Tropic or Maya -fly to international and then to San Pedro-this is the way I have done it and it is a piece of cake-you arrive in SP around 6.00pm
leave Flores around 3.30pm-leave Guatamala city around 1.00pm.

Added to this Taca -flies to El Salvador and then the next day to Belize International-my idea of a nightmare trip.
