what really amazes me, is how CHEAP the pill is here. I had a local friend recently tell me how he gave money to a woman begging on the street for money to feed her 8 children, with no husband/father in the picture.

the birth control pill is about $12 BZE here, buy her a pack of those next time instead, she'd be surprised how much more money she'd have at the end of the month if she stopped having babies.

I think Pedroone should become the next sex Doctor of San Pedro. Years ago we had Dr. Love giving great advice in the Sun and Wolfe's Woofers were always informative. "Peter's Pointers" would be great for "pubic" conscienceness.

there does need to be more education on them and many other sex ed info. Many will NOT take the pill for several reasons, even people who are educated on the pill. the eductation portion of the solution is a given...goes without saying. The problem with education though, is that you have to want it to "get it". Some will get it through the preaching, some will get it through reading, some will get it cause they realize someone cares.

However, there is a culture here among the young people that a few expats arent gonna change any time soon. With 48% of the population being under 18, there are a LOT of young people having LOTS of babies. Remember when you were young, you were completely embarrassed (women especially) to talk about sex. Even well into your teens. If they were made available, even if one young girl took them every day, thats what, 10 less babies?

Most of the children go to the Catholic school which forbids birth control. That is not going to change any time soon. Large families are not new. How did they use to feed them? I expect they worked hard and their kids worked too.
