correct. that is the first thing we will eat when we get back to the states, lol. No problem finishing a two and half pound steak at a US steakhouse, lol.

CB - I don't think anyone is "trashing" the beef, rather many of us simply do not care for the taste. Whatever the reason, it tastes different and I don't like it. Apparently several others, including some kids as mentioned above, agree. Everyone has their personal preferences.
I love US beef, and have had beef that tasted good to me from other countries, just not Belize.

You say Law that you have never had decent tasting beef in Belize. I say to you that perhaps whomever was handling it did not have much culinary expertise because I just finished having a nice piece of tenderloin that I had marinaded in good soy (not that La Choy garbage) and it tasted damned fine.

Each to his or her own I suppose. I just find it kind of ironic that folks come here to stay or just play but they still want the same crap they had back at home. C'est la vie.

forsure, hard to find good beef in Belize. I have a Belizean who will agree to that! That also explains how we can pound down nearly 3 pounds in one sitting when we do have it back in the US. A Few places you can find USDA beef but again, that's coming from the US. Belizean beef is for Karmin.

I don't eat seafood so I have eaten quite a few burgers in San Pedro. All were ok, none were great. The best steak I had was at Stained Glass Pub, which I've heard is no more.

We raise beef cattle and to the chagrin of my husband and his family, I still prefer the bought kind. I guess I like all the additives! (Watching a steer grow up doesn't help any, either. I have requested that I never know which one goes to a feed lot instead of the auction.)

We saw Brahman on the mainland. They are good for hot, humid climates, but are often criticized for their beef quality. (I just found that info in a book.)

I will keep trying the burgers!
