According to a representative at Maya-Island Air, new fares between International and Placencia will be $147 USD roundtrip ($73.50 one-way). The representative told us that roundtrip airfare between Placencia and Municipal will be $112 USD. However, he also said that one-way fares will be $62 USD. Since one-way fares are usually doubled in Belize, the Municipal/Placencia fare may not be correct.

Tropic has not yet announced it's new fares.

Sad to see that the in-country airfares are going up. They are already high. Bad move for tourism in my opinion! Thanks for the info Mary.

That's actually an INCREASE in fares - the old fare was $127 USD between Placencia and International.

OOPS...My mistake Mary. In my enthusiasm for a fairer airfare I scanned the message and missed the destination hoping against hope that it was AC. My apologies and I will edit my message above.
