Hi ChooChoo and Seashell;
Thanks for the info. we have some of the Deep woods off
but there is nothing on the label about deet. Thanks again :p
You guys seem to know a lot about Canada, do you live or
from the great white and frozen -20 north? confused

Hmm, that is just weird. If you have the Deep Woods Off, in the small pumper bottle (only about 3" tall, fits in the palm of your hand) then the label should show that it is 95% DEET.

A fish and a bird can fall in love, but where will they build their nest?

Perhaps the Canadian Govt does not require disclosure?

Hey, where are you in Canada....must be in the south....I grew up with Muskol, 95% deet, made in Mississauga....my Grandpa was a prospector and it kept him free of deer flies, horse flies, blackflies, mosquitoes and any other biting critter that flies up in the Canadian wilderness! Comes in a handy purse sized bottle as well.... wrap it well in your luggage as if it spills it will melt plastic and possibly other materials!

How right you are ! Got out a BIG magnifying glass and sure enough the little green Deep Woods Off is 95% deet and Skintastic Off is 6.65% deet. I never would have thought to look under the "guarantee" section on the label.
To Latitudes; I have experienced lots of the buggys in my days from my hometown Niagara Falls to Thunder Bay to Labrador and now in Cornwall and remember Muskol too, just never got out a magnifying glass.
To Klcman; you are right the Canadian government is just now introducing laws to force manufacturers to include ingredients on their labels, up to now it was only optional.
Thanks for all your help everyone, when we were last in San Pedro 11 years ago we didn't have any bug problems at all. If I remember correctly there weren't even any screens on the windows in the Coral Beach Hotel.
