I usually drive to Lamanai so I have not gone with them personally, but I hear good things about the Novelo brothers who do trips from Orange Walk. Believe they operate out of the Lover's restaurant in Orange Walk Town. Several other operators do trips leaving from the New River/Tower Hill bridge south of Orange Walk. Once at the site, if on your own, Nazario Ku, who is the head caretaker and a guide, is great.

We operate out of San Pedro, Ambergris Caye and offer a great day trip to Lamanai. It is $125.00 us per person and includes breakfast, lunch, beer, sodas, rum punch and snacks. You can check it out in more detail at Ambergriscaye.com/seaduced. Please let us know if you have any questions.

hi & thanks for the responses---

i forgot to specify i prefer to go by boat rather than road trip to lamanai. how does the novelo team travel?

as far as the SEAduced trip goes, i won't be anywhere near ambergris...so unless you have some sort of "straggler's deal" for people you could pick up along the way i don't think that tour would work for me, but thanks.

any further info greatly appreciated!

peace

By boat. All or nearly all of the tours do the boat trip up the New River.

The Novelo Bros are great guides and know a lot of the fauny flora and natural world.
They go from CAYE CAULKER are are less money than those from Ambergris....but that's all in the convenience factor....should you be on that island, I would HIGHLY recommend them.

okay, from the info in my book & from what lan sluder said, i can catch a novelos tour from orange walk. this is important, cause that's where i'll be. any way to contact lover's cafe for info via email?

until then, any idea how much a tour from OW Town may run?

thanks again...
