Silly.. kisses can survive almost anything...for sure the airplanes are cold enough to keep them well chilled but signpainter has to share with me...actually the new tollhouse candy bars have sparked my interest but a 2# box of See's light chocolate nuts & chews is the quickest way to this girl's heart... Happy Valentine's everybody! Maralyn

never, i repeat never, trust me with transporting hershey kisses. THEY WILL NOT SURVIVE THE JOURNEY. i would be equally poor transporting anything with toll house or nestles in the name. on the other hand, i would be very good at delivering broccolli, cauliflower, celery, etc. (i trust someone will check my spelling on broccolli)

Lee, just found out (from these posts) that you have an art gallery on Caye Caulker. Coming to AC on March 1st for our last week in Belize. Will be taking the morning ferry (just where does one catch that ferry) over sometime during the week and will definitely look you up. How do we find your gallery? Someone said there were some good places to swim there. True? And how often do the ferries run between AC and CC? Also how long is the boatride? So many questions. Thanks for the info.

tofino, if you want to make a day of it, look up george, the owner of the rum punch. it is just your basic sail boat. you can stop and snorkel or fish along the way. caye caulker is not much bigger than a postage stamp. you will find silkpainter easily. one of my favorite prints of hers is the blue morpho butterfly. what better souvenier.

Maybe you could wrap those hershey's kisses up in old socks, and they wouldnt melt. Getting here is easy. From Belize City, Caye Caulker is 45 minutes by water taxi. From San Pedro, Caye Caulker is 1/2 hour, boats leave every 1-1/2 hours from Shark's Bar. My place is right on the main 4 corners, between Habanero's Restaurant and Cindy's Cafe in the purple building. www.caribbean-colors.com www.cybercayecaulker.com

so i did get to caye caulker for the day and it was one of the most enjoyable highlites of my vacation. lee is a gem ( she even offered me her bike to get to the cut and she barely knew me !!). you'll love her gallery. she's a fantastic artist and has some of the best local art you'll see. rasta pasta is a great place to eat. i had the curry shrimp that melted in my mouth. i can't remember the bar tender's name but he was such a lovable guy that i missed two boats back just hanging with him. the swim at the cut was great with alot of local kids hanging out showing you where to swim and snorkle. next time i'll plan to spend more than just a day.

It was nice to meet you too Bill. I'm rationing kisses, and the Hershey's too. Next time... DO stay longer! --Lee
