All great choices above. I was out fishing with Eric in his boat, Uprising, tons of fun. My family also uses Tony 602-2884 for fun charters, private boat, good for about a max of six. Great snorkeling, bbq, fishing, and sometimes trips through the Maya Channel and Xcalak, Mexico. Great guy.

Sometimes its good to have a few choices as some may be booked out.

Thanks everyone for the advice. we're going to book the full day with clifford and eric (fish/snorkel/beach bbq) and look into booking a 1/2 day fly fishing with either pete or abel - all thru Steve. any advice on whether the 1/2 day fly has to be morning? or can it be afternoon or evening?

Your flats fishing is all dependent on the tides. That will determine the time to fish.

Somewhere on this site Marty has a link to the tide charts, otherwise just Google it for Belize. Personally I love to get out either just as the tide starts, either in or out, but that's for full days. When you get a chart you'll see there are 2 highs and 2lows each day. On a 1/2 day trip I'd look to get out 2hours before either high. You may find that a nite trip is best. "nite" is misleading'cuz it's usually 5pm-9pm. The point is, you want moving water, the faster the better, so check the variations for the days you may want to fish and pick the largest.
