Hi Folks: Do most tour operators (specifically, the Tanisha Lamanai tour and the rum punch sail/snorkel or Winnie Estel tours) accept credit cards?

Hi: I posted a message to you under my "Seattle" topic, but perhaps you didn't see it. I made a mistake in the dates of our trip to AC, and we actually arrive 11/24, so your trip and ours will overlap by a day or so. Perhaps we could meet for a drink? Where are you staying?

Most travelers book tours through their resort. You pay the resort for the tour (most will just add it to your room bill) at which time you are given a voucher to give to the tour operator when s/he picks you up at your dock. There is a surcharge of 5-7% for the use of a credit card. If you book your tours directly through the tour operators they will accept credit cards, but once again you pay the surcharge. Definitely plan on the Lamanai tour with Daniel of Tanisha as he will knock your socks off with his knowledge and ability to spy wildlife. Have fun!

Hi. Thanks for the replies. To Carolyn in Seattle: It would be great to meet people from this board and have a drink. We are staying at Mata Rocks - we have 1 of the 2 jr. suites right on the beach. My husband and I are both celebrating our 40th birthdays down there, so tipping a few Belikins is part of the plan! I am sure as the date approaches, we will have more people. Looks like Saturday 11/25 might be our best bet to hook up for a drink. Keep in touch.
