this hurricane is going very close to Long caye and almost anything else in the northern half of the country
Long caye is only several miles from CC and add 10 or so from Ambergris...
everyone is at risk right now, but the preparations have been excellent this time around

Hola all, I just chatted with Amanda who is in her house with emma. They said cable is out but internet on cable is still up. They are starting to hear big time thunder.

I spoke to Linda Carter via her cell phone in San Pedro about 30 min. ago. She and Kathy (Beachin Kitchen) are staying on the island.

Jim (dive instructor), Tammy & cute little Faith are here in their house up north...Scott, Jodie and son, Billy staying up here..Gordon, Bernadette & Cal are also up here.

I've just seen Elizabeth from Amber Jewelery walking her dogs. Unfortunately our male dogs are arch enemies so we kept our distance, but I saw her shuttering her house up earlier. She is fine and has our number if she needs help.

We met alot of great people last Feb. Owners of White Sand Cove, Diane Campbell (Solaria), went on a 6 day excursion with Rick from KatKanDu and staff. We hope you are all safe.

I spoke to Diane Campbell just before she left the island. She said they had a car on hire and they were evacuating. That was earlier this morning before there was any real bad weather.

Thank you for telling me this. We were so close to purchasing one of the Solaria homes with her in Feb. I am glad she was evacuating. I can't remember the name of the rest/bar next to Solaria, but all her so nice to us. I hope all will be safe. My hubby and I are sitting here on pins and needles and we are not even close to people like most of you are. We just fell in love with San Pedro and AC..can't wait to go back. We just want the best for all. Thanks again.

The restuarant, one of the best on the Island is the Rendezvous. Glenn & Colleen. I understand they are still on the Island but in a safer place than the restuarant which is on the beach. Stay safe Glenn & Colleen....see you guys in October if not sooner!
