Two of us will be fly fishing the flats for the week of Sept. 16. We want to use guides a couple days and then fish on our own. Is there anyplace to rent fly fishing gear on Ambergris Caye?

Hi Dan: Most flyfishing guides have equipment to use during your outing...it might not be great equipment, but generally OK. The guides also have appropiate flies, tippets, and stories. Bill

Thanks for the info. We'd like to fish on our own some during the trip. Are there good wading spots without a boat or guide?

You can rent some decent gear over on Caye Caulker from Anglers abroad,, which is located on front street towards the split. look for the big gringo Haywood. good fishing on foot around the island or by renting canoe.
