Hi, I just got off the phone with AMEX. You won't believe this but the charge is still there! We leave Sunday but mark my word if that charge has not been credited by monday we will call the San Pedro police and press charges. I found out something interesting from AMEX- the $6000 charge was put through at 8:21am mountain standard time, which makes it 9:21 here. Basically what this means is that within a few minutes of our arrival they charged my card. They stood around hmmmhaaaing for a couple of hours trying to come up with their "estimate", which is complete BS because they had that $6000 figure within 5 minutes of seeing us. One thing I keep forgetting to mention is that not one time did any of the people from this establishment show any type of concern for our well being. No "are you ok?" "can I call a doctor for you?" nothing like that. My husband had blood running from his finger, it looked pretty meaty and I asked if she knew where we could find a doctor and she said she didn't. I went into their store and bought peroxide, water to clean it, and bandaids. They could not have cared less.
I am starting to worry that maybe the reason we haven't been served or heard from them at all is because they have our money and never reversed it, so why take us to court? The police told her she'd be arrested for this but maybe she doesn't believe them or care? We'll see soon enough.
