Does anyone know what sort of food they are doing or when the grand opening is?

Maybe they will do a large Banana Split for ScubaLdy as I know that is one of her treats!

hi Jim. My dad lives in Tucson also; he's been there over 20 yrs now. My mother is with family in Phoenix; she has been there about a year. My experiences there haven't been good~~~WELL< PROBably because the first two times I went there my dad had cancer surgery. (He IS ok at the moment) I like warm weather, but not THAT warm, ya know? We live about 20 minutes from our beach here, and in Hawaii we are a stone's throw from the beach.If it's hot I gotta be in water, preferably ocean water. I don't think Arizona has that there. I know a lotta people love Arizona, I just don't think I could handle it.

You know that my once a week banana boat at Manalley's can never be replaced. I will go to Sweet Basils for pasta! I gave a ride to a couple from Oregon today and they had me drop them of at Sweet Basils. After spending some time with the new owners they were planning to have dinner there. I will look forward to their report.

Has any one been to sweet basil recently? What is it like? Night club, restaurant ect. How is the food and how are the new owners doing? Is it busy?

hello, from what I hear, things are picking up every day.Tyler and Julie(her name is Jewels, not to be confused with Jules E.) are really excited to get moving and making the place not just good, but great, where people will want to return to again and again.
I am Tyler's aunt, and the owner's sister. I'm trying to talk my brother Mike into having a huuuuge open house at Xmas and a NEW YEAR'S EVE Party. Wish I COULD BE THERE, but I will be with my kids so...but can't wait to get back in FEB.
Hope people give it a chance~ I know it had a great following before the previous owner left the island, and it would be nice if the good reputation continues.

FYI, pestomom and travelingal are one and the same (same IP registration). C'mon folks it's okay to promote a business if you've been there or have been provided their service but please let the people who have the experience provide the feedback. I understand that you want your friends/family to do well but let them stand up for themselves.

There are more than a few of us on the board that could promote the hell out of themselves by doing the same but we let the clientele speak for themselves and/or we spend the money to place our websites with Marty to let people know we exist. Believe me they will get bit in the butt if they can't live up to the hype.
