re: the CLOISTERS. Is that the complex , looking at the sea, AND to the left a bit, (or did the building get larger?), AND NOW BLOCKS THE CARRIBEAN VIEW FOR MOST OF THE BUILDING owners AT REEF vILLAGE? PLEASE ADVISE
How is Mr Pierce getting away with this?? I don;t understand. I mean I DO understand that laws in Belize are certainly nothing like ours in the states.BUT, how can you tell a buyer they will be right on the marina with their own dock, etc and then not have that happen??? Is he on the up and up? Because even if I could purchase a unit there, I don't know if I'd want to do any business with that guy...

Yeah, I'd like the google group for reef village, as well.
I am not under the impression that the marina will be moved. The last time I spoke with Jeff, in March, it was still going to be near the pool. But, things may have changed.
I really think questions should be directed at Jules or Jeff. They both know what is going on, and should be able to give straight answers.
Anyhow, we will be there in a couple of months, and will find you guys.

I was sent an invitation to join the Reef Village Google Group forum a while back from Julie, not sure who she is but, Julie, if you're reading this you could provide the details. Basically logged into Google and joined the group. Makes sense now as to why there are never any posts to my and other discussions. No one knows about it! Anyway, I'll try to get out to talk to Jules or Jeff about the marina this week. Christine on the Google Group posted the info about the marina being across the road. Will definitly bum me out if that's the case. After looking more closely at the newer conceptual drawing on the Reef web site it does look like the slips are NOT in the lagoon.

than one I had a chance to see a couple yrs ago.No slips at all for the villas...what are they doing? anyone know? I thought the villas were going to have it all---and again, can someone check & see if the Carribean views are blocked from the reef village units due to the other properties going up across the road, waterside...

Fly, I was told by Julie or her husband that they would send me the google site, but I never got it, and I had forgotten about it until you said something.
Travelingal, our condo, 301A has the Cloister building going up right in front of us, but it really doesn't block our view. We just turn our heads a little to the right, and see the ocean. Yes, it would be nicer without it in front of us, but it's OK.
Not too sure about the marina, but by the rendering, it looks like it will be space around the pool for slips/docks. Wonder if Jules could shine a little light on this?

The Cloisters is oceanfront. The Reef Village is not. It's simple - if you want oceanfront or even oceanviews, you pay for the location.

If it was me, I'd buy only a property that the views could not be impeded. But that's just my thought.

It's just time before there's even more buildings going up on the caribbean side across from RF.

Flip Flop - What a great idea - OH BUT - then I thought I had that - a clear view of the lagoon until Reef Village started dredging the lagoon and building three story buildings - one right after the other. I can not see the lagoon between the buildings.
YES - A lot of building is going on across the road from Reef Village and I'm sure it will continue.
I have to wonder where all the people are going to come from and how they are going to get here to rent these places.

They'll be coming from the cold climates, and we'll be taking Tropic Air to get there!! (just couldn't resist... I want to be there so badly myself - only 4 months to go!)
