Just got back from a great trip to Belize, of which the highlight was Daniel at Tanisha Tours, and I wanted to tell everyone!

We took both the Lamanai trip and the cave-tubing trip, and had the best time! Daniel knows more about the wildlife of Belize than anyone I've ever met (and I've been to Belize three times). He found all kinds of animals for us: bats, crocodiles, herons, iguanas, monkeys, kites, dolphins, hawks...I could on, but you get the idea. Not only does Daniel know bunches about the flora and fauna of his home, but he truly CARES about the future of said animals and plants. I saw him pick up bits of garbage off the trail at Jaguar Paw; I saw him greet all the animals at the zoo by name, and not only was it obvious that he really liked animals, but they really liked him! They all without fail came out of their holes or across their pens to visit with him, even the sleeping kinkajous. How wonderful to have a guide that really cared about the country he was showing us instead of just the money he was getting for the tour. I highly, HIGHLY recommend Daniel and Tanisha Tours -- I cannot imagine using anyone else!

As for Katie Valk -- what an angel! Our flights to Guatemala were cancelled, so I had to scramble to find another way to Tikal. Katie came to our rescue. She organized everything at the drop of a hat, and we had a seemless, great trip because of her -- thanks, Katie!

Thank you for this post Mrs. CJ. It is great to hear positive feedback about our guides. When it comes time to go to mainland, I will use this referral and know what I am getting!

LOL i booked that tour with Daniel last month. i would ONLY do it with him. what a good guy he is. unfortunately, halfway there, the sky opened up and we had to return to AC. that gives us one more reason to return. wink

we met Katie too. she has a great rep, and really knows the country.

glad you had a positive bz experience!
