We are planning a trip to Ambergris Caye and would like input on the Royal Palms Villas. It looks like a lovely place on the internet, but am hoping for some advice from either people who have stayed there or have been by there. Specifically, we're looking for a nice, clean, safe place with a nice pool, nice beach to sit on, and a restaurant very close for breakfast and snacks during the day. We also prefer being able to walk to town and catch a taxi back. Any input would be helpful.

It's fantastic - really. You can go next door for a terrific meal at El Divino.

We absolutely loved our stay at Royal Palms. The grounds are beautiful and you can't ask for a nicer pool.

I advise renting a golf cart for transportation.
