We are leaving in a couple of hours to make our way down to AC. We bought a few phone cards here in Canada and called last night to make sure they would work in Belize -- well guess what? No such luck.

So the question is --- can we buy International phone cards in Belize? OR would it be better to grab some when we are in Houston on our way there?

You cannot use most international cards in Belize anyway. There are limited phones, blue colored phones, at some larger resorts. You can buy phones cards at BTL or Smart to make international calls, about 1 Us per minute.

If your cell phone is Telus or Bell, it won't work on Ambergris Caye at all. Not sure about other carriers.
