I am staying at journey's end resort and need info on a good guide for flat fishing for bonefish, permit, tarpon etc. I called there and they only offer flyfishing guides. I use spinning gear and the guides have the equipment such as in Florida. Does anyone know of a couple of good guides with their own tackle for spinfishing the flats. I will be staying at JE, so they will need to be close by that resort. Any help would grateful. Either ost or e-mail me at capps@snip.net

Hi, George Bradley has a brother that guides spin fishing. I can't remember which brother it is, but you can reach George at
011-501-26-2179. We flyfished with George in July, and had a wonderful time and caught lots of bones, one tarpon, and one Jack. The tarpon fishing is across the bay, so weather conditions must be right. Sometimes you find them by the reef, but most are over by the mainland. We stayed at Victoria House, and booked George through them, but you can book him or one of his brothers directly.

I just talked to Nesto,{ a very good guide}
He told me that most of the fly fish guides will set you up with spin casting if thats what you want to do.

For flat fishing call Eloy Gonzalez at 026-2337. He is extremely knowledgable and VERY honest. Plus you'll catch fish!
